As mentioned earlier I started to add the free WIFI spots from Helge's list to Tupalo with the tag helge-free-wifi. So far I added the districts 1, 7, 16 and 19. Just saw that the tag already appears on Tupalo's Homepage under Most Popular Stuff.

Gerade faellt mir auf wie verwoehnt man in Wien ist: Gratis WLAN gibt es praktisch an jeder Ecke in vielen Cafes. Hier in Neuseeland gibt es das abgesehen von ein paar Plaetzen in Auckland praktisch nicht. Von einer Lobby kann man zwar nicht wirklich sprechen, aber die Internetcafebetreiber machen regelmaessig mobil gegen Versuche mit freiem WLAN in Stadtgebieten. So gab es wirkliche Proteste, als in den Stadtbuechereien freies Wireless eingefuehrt wurde. Ausserdem scheinen manche Cafebetreiber in Shoppingmalls sogar in ihren Vertraegen stehen zu haben, dass sie WLAN nicht anbieten duerfen, Nachlese hier.
